Banff Springs Hotel by Walter J. Phillips
1933 | wood engraving
12 x 11 cm
Second State. The print was produced as a menu cover for the famous C.P.R. resort hotel. The first state has low clouds above the mountain, while the second state has many of the clouds scraped away to produce a less ominous effect. The Banff Springs Hotel reproduced the print on several occasions for various publicity purposes.
